서울에서 만난 연인 둘이 시작한 브랜드입니다. 지금은 부부가 되었고요.
각자 의류업계에서 굴러본 경력을 들고, 서울 북아현동 작은 빌라에서 첫 옷을 만들기 시작했습니다.

처음 이름은 GOD LOVES UGLY였어요.
조금 과감했고, 조금 솔직했죠.
그리고 지금은 LOVES UGLY입니다.
“예쁨” 말고도 사랑할 게 많다고 믿는 마음이, 이름이 되었습니다.

패션디자인을 전공한 아내와, 동대문 원단 업계에서 자란 남편이 만났어요.
한 사람은 형태와 무드를 만들고, 한 사람은 소재와 구조를 잡습니다.
(그리고 포장과 배송은… 둘이 번갈아가며 합니다. 진짜로요.)

일이 본격적으로 굴러가기 시작하면서 부산으로 옮겼고,
지금은 집과 사무실, 쇼룸을 한 공간에 꾸려 지냅니다.
동선이 짧아진 만큼, 옷에 쓰는 마음은 더 길어졌어요.

우리는 대단한 말을 하고 싶진 않아요.
대신 딱 한 가지는 확실합니다.
러브스어글리는 직접 디자인하고, 직접 만들고, 불필요한 비용은 빼고, 옷에만 집중합니다.

그게 우리가 여기까지 온 방식이고, 앞으로도 그럴 방식입니다.

We started this brand as two people who met in Seoul. Now we’re married.
We both came from the fashion world, and we made our very first pieces in a small villa in Buka-hyeon-dong, Seoul.

At first, we called it GOD LOVES UGLY.
It was a little bold, a little blunt.
And now it’s LOVES UGLY.
Because we’ve always believed there’s a lot to love beyond just what’s “pretty.”

One of us studied fashion design, and the other grew up in the Dongdaemun fabric scene.
One person shapes the silhouette and mood, the other obsesses over materials and construction.
(And yes… we take turns packing and shipping orders. For real.)

As things started to really pick up, we moved down to Busan.
Now we live, work, and run our showroom all in one space.
Our daily route got shorter, but the care we put into our clothes got bigger.

We’re not here to say anything grand.
But one thing is very clear:
Loves Ugly is designed by us, made by us, with the unnecessary costs cut out—so we can focus on the clothes.

That’s how we’ve made it this far.
And that’s how we plan to keep going.
